the Calgary Health Region as they Redesign their Physician Referral
Process
The
Calgary Health Region, located in Southern Alberta, is using our engagement
methodology to involve physicians, nurses, hospital administrators, allied
staff, and patients in the redesign of the physician referral process.
The work began with the training of a core team in May 2006, and will include
two large group conferences to be held in October 2006 and January 2007. Calgary
Health has graciously allowed us to follow their progress. Once you
reach their site, click on “invitation” to find out what is
happening.

Do you find meetings to be time-wasting and energy- sapping affairs? Find out how to make your meetings memorable. Executive Forum: Creating Energy-Producing Meetings Handbook
of Large Group Interventions
We’re
very excited that our case study, Embedding Core Principles at Boeing,
is included in the recently published The
Handbook of Large Group Interventions (Bunker and Alban). Following
is a brief excerpt:
"People with graduate engineering degrees do not expect to walk a picket line. But that is what you would have seen in February 2000 when over fourteen thousand Boeing employees went on strike, the largest white-collar strike in U.S. history. Three years later, the same employees who went on strike voted by an over 80 percent margin to renew their contract. Today, new programs, such as the 787 Dreamliner and Multi-Mission Maritime Aircraft, have added six thousand new jobs in Washington state. Production rates for commercial airplanes are increasing, and orders are up. Employee satisfaction is at a ten-year high." It’s nice to be in such good company. Kudos
