Samuel MaGillSam Magill is a senior organization development consultant and executive coach with over 25 years of supporting leaders at all levels in health care, industry and government. His expertise includes large scale organization change, large scale meeting design, inter-organization conflict management, leadership relationship development and leadership coaching. His services also include external support for companies with internal coaches and consultants.

Clients obtain useable results from working with Sam. He quickly collects information to design appropriate responses to client objectives. He is considered a masterful facilitator and has designed and managed successful meetings for medical practitioners and executives, plant operations staff and managers, government agency officials (such as local and statewide public health leaders), software engineers and labor leaders.

Sam has worked in many countries of the world and is a member of CoheChange, an international network of executive coaches based in Paris, France.

Sam brings first-hand knowledge of leadership and organization effectiveness from working for The Boeing Company as an executive coach, internal consultant and coordinator for high potential managers. Sam has been associated with Peter Block / AQP School for Managing, The Axelrod Group, Council for a Parliament of World Religions in Kenya and Spain and The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara and Antioch University. His clients include national research laboratories, associations of physicians, executives of financial institutions, a 150 year old forest products company and a engineering maintenance service for the US Navy. His coaching clients include leaders and coaches from Cameroon, France and the Czech Republic.

Sam holds a B.A. in Biology, University of California, Santa Cruz and a MBA at the California State University, East Bay. He is also a certified coach through The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara and certified in use of EQinAction, a leading instrument used to assess emotional intelligence in high pressure leadership situations. The International Coaching Federation has recognized Sam at their highest level, a Master Certified Coach (MCC). He recently received a diploma from Coaching Supervision Academy in London, England that authorizes him to provide support to internal and external leadership coaches.

Sam’s personal interests continually enhance his capacity to observe what is happening in organizations. Besides a solid management background, Sam is a published poet and is a photographer whose work has appeared in and received awards in juried art shows. Sam is an avid outdoor adventurer and travels extensively in order to learn more about people.
